Let's start a Tribe of Elders camping area. It will be a gathering area to meet each other. Any ideas about where to camp?

My plans are up in the air at the moment. I'm not sure which of my normal buds will be coming this year. However, I generally camp between 3:30 and 4:30 on the outermost or next to outermost ring. It's pretty mellow out there and easy to stake out space without having an official theme camp. Also, I'm looking forward to seeing some previous neighbors. On the other hand, I'm open to new experiences.
I'd be quite happy to be part of a loose confederation somewhere near the outer rings. I'm also interested in taking part in the listening theme you proposed.
Sorry that this response took so long. My visits to this tribe have been spotty.

Hi all,
I placed some ads in craigslist and have 2 people besides me who are committed to camping together as "The Tribe of Elders." Richard from San Francisco has a large truck and has offered to carry things there for us. He has made awnings to put up all around it. One part will be for a kitchen, another for people who want to camp under it , and another for sitting in front of our camp along the road. He has lots of camping experience. He will get there early and stake out an area for us. Jack from NY will join us on Wednesday night. He will camp under the awning around the truck. I'll park my RV next to the truck. Richard suggests camping near 6:30 and Delirium. The map is available now with street names. He was in that area last year and liked it. I like being more centrally located because I don't relish the thought of making the trek out to my campsite late at night. I'd like to be near places of interest. With the new arrangement, this seems like a good place. dr. placebo, can we get you to join us? -

Thanks for the invite. I'm in the position of having several friends from previous burns be interested in camping with me, but uncertain about whether they can come this year. If they do come I expect that we will have a separate site (they are all under 35). Being burn 7 for me my gear is reasonably complete. On the other hand, the ToE camp sounds good, too. I guess that I'll have to remain uncertain for now, although I'm sure that I will visit the ToE camp. How soon do you need certainty?

I don't think you need to pin it down with us yet. We just need to know before Richard stakes out our area on the first day. When Richard joins tribe.net, he can put in his two cents on this, but we are a loosely formed camp. That is what is great about it. We each bring what we need, but will have a community to be a part of. Even if you don't camp with us, we'd love to have you visit.
Anyone else out there who wants to join?
