geezerama!

This will be our second Burn -- my sweet husband and I (we're in our mid-60s) went two years ago -- and we loved it, but being fairly clueless, didn't have any thing to share or contribute except good vibes. This time, we want to do Geezerama -- which is in process conceptually, but involves offering an opportunity for any burner (you're only as old as you feel) to hang out and listen to other-than-techno/trance type music. Classical, jazz, folk, do-wap -- real music. Other plans involve serving cold prune juice in the mornings, dispensing advice (both solicited and unsolicited) -- whatever geezerly burners should do. We would really like input, feedback, participation, from other elders! Please share your ideas with us --

I will be a mere 56 for this burn, but I'd be happy to visit Geezerama. I'll pass on the prune juice (the punning prospects positively percolate percussively), but I'm happy to freely trade advice and conversation. I'll also put in a plug for the CLEU camp (near Hope and 3:45, we think), which should have a number of us over 50 folks in it.

    Hi Sally and Jon,
I'd love to come by and hang out with you all. I was part of the Tribe of Elders last year at 6:45 and Delirium. Our theme was "We will listen to you," because we think everyone wants to be heard. We had a lot of people come by to talk and we had a party on the Thursday night. I went around during the week and passed out cards with info about the party to everyone I thought was an elder! It was a great way to meet people too. This year I will be camping with friends of various ages, but would love to meet you and hear the kind of music you describe. Where will you be?

      Hi, Sparkle --
Good to know about the Tribe of Elders -- and a party is a great idea! We'll register our location when we get there -- so come and listen to some different kinds of music, eat some prunes -- look at pictures of our grandkids, get some 1) solicited 2) unsolicited Advice -- your choice -- and we promise to listen first!

the idea of a mellow home.....Those 12 foot speakers next to
us last year weren't a design accent!!! What are your locations
